Stuff and Things with Jon

Living in an incredibly online world in 2026, it’s increasingly challenging to avoid “doomscrolling” and exposure to all the negativity that’s out there. The websites and apps we once loved are succumbing to AI slop and rage bait, or keeping us way too up to date on the ongoings around the world, some good but seemingly mostly bad.

So what is this and am I doing it?

Both great questions!

My goal here is to speak on and write about things that I find interesting and fun. Maybe you won’t see it the same as I do, and maybe you will. My preference would be the latter because then that means you’re cool and interesting like me.

This is probably my third attempt at starting a blog or writing in some capacity. I’ve always enjoyed writing and any type of audio or, god forbid, video recording is incredibly daunting, so I think this is the best medium to get my points across. I’ve toyed with the idea of doing this for a while now and since we’re a little over a week into the new year, I figured this was as good a time as ever.

I’m hopeful this space will evolve over time and can eventually become and outlet for discussion. Hell, maybe you’ll learn something new.
